86CrMoV7 / 1.2327
Cold Working Tool Steel
1. Steel description and applications
86CrMoV7 / 1.2327 steels are grades with high hardenability and fracture toughness, designed for large-section tools for cold and hot working in the metallurgical industry. They are distinguished by their Chromium content, making them suitable for larger workpieces.
Used for forged cold-rolling rolls (up to 700mm), resistance roll shirts, dies, and other parts of hot & cold rolling mills.
Recommended applications:- Cold working rolls and back-up rolls
- Straightening rolls
- Cold plate leveller rolls
